In fairness, "juvenile" is part of the recipe for Deadpool movies haha

The only film I disagree with here is Argylle: I didn't think it was aiming for meta, necessarily. I just enjoyed it on its own level.

I def acknowledged the juvenilia of Deadpool but just thought this was convoluted and a mess

I’ve only seen one of these, thank God, and I agree with your assessment-Argyle was appalling. All that talent and it was just stupid and boring.

Gotta disagree about NaXXXXine which was like my favourite songs made into a film and massively entertaining even knowing it was no Pearl, but by God there are some stinkers on your list, I have been warned .

Looking in our movie book the 2023 remake of The River Wild scored lowest of any film watched to more or less completion in 2024 and Longlegs scored pretty low too.

Long legs is ok - but don’t get any of the fuss some made of it. I do wanna watch the River Wild remake, was just baffled that had happened.

Renfield was a better Cage-as-vampire turn

Oof - I hated Renfield :)

I enjoyed Renfield but watched it on a plane and felt distinctly uncomfortable at times as the gore reached a crescendo and wondered what my fellow passengers were thinking as they unwillingly shared in the sprays of blood (visually of course).
