Well written. Love these kind of films. Marriage Story was a little to close to the bone for me to enjoy. Last Exit to Brooklyn is an incredible adaptation. Ironweed from this period is another incredible adaptation in this genre. Most of Darren Aronofsky’s output fits in here. I found Revolutionary Road slightly underwhelming, couldn’t buy into Leo. Maybe knowing the novel first killed it for me. Richard Yates as novelist is unrelenting in this field. Just watched The Father last
