Guys, I absolutely loved your podcast today! I would agree with almost everything you both shared, however, my ratings for both the earlier film and the novel would be slightly higher, probably because I first read the novel when I was about twelve or thirteen, then saw the film hot on the heels (yes, I'm that old). Another gem that you're probably aware of; Father Callahan appears as an ongoing character in The Dark Tower series. Such a complex character, and the redemption arc is something to behold. I won't spoil anything, though. Thanks!
