That documentary is incredible. Watched it yesterday. Always loved those bits on Carson. Did not know he hadn't tried them out in clubs first. Which I guess is part of why they work so well. He seemed to make Johnny laugh loudest
I have the Walter Hill boxset to work through before writing about him. But what a director. Seen many of them already of course, but want to get through the rest of the box.
And yeah, I will listen to the Guffey one, I'm still gonna dip into Maron for the good eps/guests - just not going to listen to it twice a week forever, as I did for the better part of 10 years.
