I used to listen to this album – and I thought it was bonkers. And then I bought this Miles Davis tape for about $4 (a cheap compilation) – and at the end of the tape it had this song that went “merry x-mas...” with this cartoon-type voice. (The song is Blue Xmas). The singer, I knew – straight away – was the very same:
