The Classic FM Movie Music Hall of Fame 2024

A list of the top 100 film scores - and counting down the top 10 here with all of the albums shared.

The Classic FM Movie Music Hall of Fame list for 2024 is one hell of a starter-kit if you want to check out many of the classic 20th Century film scores, with some 21st Century titles in there too. Lots of John Williams, John Barry, Hans Zimmer, and Ennio Morricone, as one might expect. On the longer list you’ll find a few names less familiar, and plenty of the other big names — Alan Silvestri, Thomas Newman, Randy Newman, etc.

But still, I feel like horror is completely missing. And many of my favourites are nowhere to be seen. Still, it’s a great way to start a collection, and build up some knowledge. So here, again is the full list.
