The 1001 Albums Challenge # 39: Ananda Shankar – “Ananda Shankar”

I’m thinking that I’ve never really heard Ananda Shankar even though I know the name. And when I get to this, his self-titled debut I realise I do know this music, have heard a few of the piece; though never the whole album.

So it was fun to sit down with this and follow it through – something of a psychedelic touchstone if not a masterpiece.
