This is the original copy of this album — as in it used to belong to my folks. They ditched most of their records, and I wish I had salvaged more of them, but I took what was left, about 30 years ago, and have held on to many of them. Tears for Fears, Terence Trent D’arby, lots of 80s things, some Dire Straits, and a bunch of Paul Simon. This, Graceland, One Trick Pony, etc.
I grew up on 80s Paul Simon, in particular. And Simon & Garfunkel. There was, for a little while, this gap in between those two points, the 70s solo albums. I mean, sure, everyone knew Mother and Child Reunion, and Loves Me Like A Rock, and Kodachrome and such, whether they wanted to or not. The radio just seemed to always be playing those, as with Billy Joel and Elton John too.
