Richard Is Real Goddamnit — Part 2, Phantom Billstickers Poetry Poster
Enormous gratitude to Phantom Billstickers!
Thanks to the peeps at Phantom Billstickers my book The Richard Poems is truly coming to life. Not long to go now!
I’m such a huge fan of Phantom’s poetry posters — and have been lucky to have a couple of my poems on their posters over the years.
For The Richard Poems they have printed the AFFCO-inspired verse, The Most Learning We Ever Did At School Was In One Day On A Field Trip To The Abattoir and started to distribute it around town:
They also very kindly made up some posters of the incredible cover artwork (featuring a photograph by the incredible Peter Black).
Now, obviously I knew this was happening — but what made it all the better, seeing them yesterday, was the fact that it was a total surprise. I had no idea they would be out on the streets this early, a solid week or so before the book is available. But, as I said at the top, you can pre-order your copy right now.
Details of a launch are still to come (Wellington only) but for today, I am utterly thrilled to share this cool work by Phantom, in celebration of my upcoming second book of poems published by The Cuba Press. Gratitude to all.
Great stuff Simon! Signed ones available? Cheers.
