Reports are coming in that Scotty Moore has died. He was 84 years old. Best known as the guitarist for Elvis Presley – making Scotty Moore one of the architects of rock’n’roll guitar. His sound, a mix of clever country picking and stinging lines cribbed from blues and R’n’B drew from gospel too and would help define rockabilly and early rock’n’roll.
