The London-born, American-based author and neurologist Oliver Sacks has died, aged 82. It was known that Sacks had cancer, a melanoma in his eye had spread to his liver. Earlier this year Sacks wrote about how it was a matter of “months” – and in what was presumably a race against the clock he earlier published his memoir, On The Move: A Life.
