R.I.P. Bernie Worrell

Bernie Worrell has died. He was 72. The keyboardist and synth pioneer, also an occasional singer, and crucial arranger/composer/collaborator had been battling stage-four lung cancer. His wife had issued a statement, just a week ago, that he was near death.
