Poem: When The Cheque Clears

i never sold out the entire time that no one at all was buying

but for the sniff of paid interest i’d write you the best greeting card

you just can’t tell anyone i did it – leave that for me i’d tell the world

when the cheque clears there is no shame we’re all the same in that regard
