Poem: Underneath It All

You are bereft at what’s left of your soul because you stole all that you could and so all you’ve ever done has been down to anyone else,

That’s why all you’re filled with is doubt.

And though I hate for you to hear it this way, it’s all I could think of saying today since I’ve been listening

to “Dirt” by Lou Reed and so now I need to get this off my chest.
