Poem: There’s gold in them there hills

There’s gold in them there hills

but the ladder’s bottom step is broken

and the soles of the shoes are all rotten

and the fruit in the fridge has gone soft

and the washing machine isn't working…

So I can’t climb today nor probably

tomorrow. But I’m still trying to see the

gold in the hills. It’s a little further off in the distance,
