Poem: The Job Interview

he said wotnot a lot, way more than I would have liked from a person charged with deciding if I was good enough.

He smiled a lot which should have put me at ease – but didn’t.

And I could tell when he was about to lie, because he would suddenly announce that he was “a pretty honest person” –

I hope I get the job. The way I always do.
