Poem: The Fearful & Entitled

The fearful & entitled,

they hatch plans

to rule the world,

always. Partly because

they are sure they deserve

it. Mostly because

they don’t want someone

who has not earned it

to turn up with a shadow

of a chance. (Damn shadows!)

“Out damned spot” they say.

They are sure they must

have worked hardest,

been best, known more -

at least known the most. (More than most).
