In the 1990s, racist jokes were on the table. We used to shit where we’d eat.
We used to sit ourselves right down in it. As was our privilege. We’d call it
equal opportunity offending. But the opportunity never turned in. By then, we
were all filled up. We had spat it all out. We were never in doubt, only ever in denial.
