Poem: Roy Orbison’s Blues

Roy Orbison’s dark glasses helped him block out the tragedy. His wife died in a motorcycle crash. A couple of years on from that he lost his house to a deadly fire; his children inside. They died along with another piece of his soul. So Blue. So cruel. Blocking out the bad by singing those glorious songs. Blind to the tragedy, that was his aim.
