Poem: Re-Wiring

The speed of technology 
just pummels our 
brains 
 
all that remains 
is the ghost of 
a version of 
ourselves, long 
since updated 
 
but missing  
some of its 
wiring 
 
the hard-wiring 
renewed 
 
old wiring  
no long able to  
be used.
