Poem: Just One Of Those Things

Today I saw a numberplate that said “O’Day” and it pleased me tremendously.

“There’s a proud Anita O’Day fan” I said to my otherwise empty car.

But I switched the music – straightaway. Played An Occasional Man, thought of

an occasion immediately for this fan – and whistled my way through the rest
