Poem: Good Morning!

we’re all dragging the weight of the world behind us –

the gait widens, slows –

when you see those old men bounding, that’s a type of panic.

children aren’t careless – but carefree (as it should be).

we truck-and-trailer through life. our strife – and all we’ve collected, based largely around what we’ve neglected –
