Poem: fire! fire!

back when weekends could last  five days

one of my favourite party-tricks 

was to set the coffee-table on fire. lighter fluid all over the formica and then drop the zippo

watch it go up. no worries that the old foam coach, exposed floorboards and thread- bare curtains were all so near.
