Poem: Empty Killing Jar

You won’t know

I’ve been chasing butterflies

unless I take one from the net,

pin it down, display it. And yet the

point of the net is to provide agent for

the chase. What good is the chase unless

there’s proof it happened? What good is the

proof if it only suggests the chase was never worth it?
