Poem: Dead Mouse In The Toaster

my flatmate woke me up to tell me he killed the mouse – fried it in the toaster.

I won’t be having breakfast.

Instead, I shower cruise downtown and buy the new Lou Reed live album – and some wine.

Went to class – came home and cooked tea - ate tea - did dishes - made a cup of tea
