Poem: Crisis? What Crisis?

While the

oppressive poverty

might, on some level

amuse me

I can’t – at this

stage – confirm whether

or not

I have a sense

of humour.

Or, for that

matter, any sense

at all.

For it is no

laughing matter,

I’m being told,

as we speak.
