Poem: Comedy

Went to the open-mic and the MC said to me after I spoke my words  that she was looking

to put together a Comedy Poetry line-up for the next festival and would I like to be part of the bill?

They did say I could expect some harsh reviews when I pivoted to poetry – I guess it’s part of the thrill?

But what am I exactly? A joke, a fraud, a borderline fake.
