Poem: Church Is A Verb

She is singing Blackbird a capella. As the family grieves, the vocalist offers

a hug they can hear. A scaffold to really hold them in the moment.

The voice uplifting, almost quite literally. There’s a church for all of us, we don’t

need to always be there. We just need to know it’s always there.
