they called you ‘Bird’, not because of how you moved; but for the notes you blew

you really were that good.

in fact, that’s why you seemed so

bad.     drove people mad with your lack of trust and respect

you pawned your horn so many times for smack.             made do with a borrowed instrument; often to perform your greatest tunes.

you didn’t pay your band…
