the tow-truck driver’s name was bevan and he said, “it can always be worse”.
he said, “it’s not raining and there is no blood”.
and he was right.
there wasn’t.
there also wasn’t a wheel that could work,
or a place we could get to,
so we sat on the side of the road and played games to pass time,
to keep spirits up
or expectations down
or something.
