Today my son  
told me his  
favourite gun  
was the pistol. 
 
I hugged him as  
I told him 
he didn’t need 
a favourite gun. 
 
He said he 
still liked hugs 
way more than 
guns. 
 
I squeezed him with 
all my might. Hopeful  
I had the right way  
to win the right fight.
