Playlist: The ‘Richard Poems’ Soundtrack

The soundtrack to my new book of poems is here as a 2-hour playlist. All of the songs that inspired the poems. Or in some cases they’re referenced in the text directly.

From time to time I like to make and share podcasts. This one is a little different. It’s the “soundtrack” to a book I’m making. I’ve been writing and sharing many of my ‘Richard Poems’ here and they’ll be in a book sometime soon.

My last book of poems - The Death of Music Journalism — had a soundtrack playlist which you could get to with a QR code on the back cover, I’ll possibly do the same again. But at any rate, I’ve made the playlist and decided to share it early for if anyone is interested.

These are the songs that triggered the poem, or their titles or words or the actual songs are referenced. Not every poem in the book has a song attached. But many of them do — and here they are:
