Fringe Festival: DICK: Reading 'Richard' Live - Music and Poetry
I’m in the 2025 Fringe Festival, for one show only, Friday, February 21, 7.30pm, 60 minutes. $10. Tickets are available from now. The room will only hold 50 people.
There’s the news right there, up above. I’m taking some of The Richard Poems out off the page and placing them on the stage with the help of my friends, Filtersphere — a live band comprised of John Kingston (guitars, effects) and James Gilberd (drums, percussion). We will be working together to offer a new ‘reading’ of ‘Richard’.
One show only. Friday, February 21, 7.30pm at Photospace Gallery in Courtenay Place.
It is $10 to enter — tickets are available now.
The show’s theme is largely around toxic masculinity. It is about a friendship gone wrong. We will be donating from the ticket sales to Women’s Refuge.
More on the show as it develops, and in the build up. But my thanks to the NZ Fringe for slipping us into the program as a very late addition. This will be the world premiere of DICK: Reading ‘Richard’ Live — and my first time performing a spoken word Fringe show since BLANKing Women in 2002.
