Dirty Spoons to play Island Bay Festival, Sunday, February 11, 2024

This Sunday, February 11 is the Island Bay Festival. There’s a great lineup of music, along with crafts and food and all manner of stalls and displays. There’ll be a blessing of the boats at 2.15pm, and just before that, on the Esplanade, Dirty Spoons will be playing a half-hour set of our nautical best.

Not nautical by nature, but it turns out the Spoons have songs about fishing (Gone Fishin’) and songs about fisherman (Jim The Fisherman) and songs about paintings of old ships (Second Hand Support) so I reckon we’re just perfectly placed in that spot before the boat blessing, eh?

So if your’e in Wellington come on day for a beautiful day in Island Bay.
