All Is Quiet…
Happy New Year’s Day! We are in Martinborough, NZ. ‘We’ is me, Katy and Oscar. And we are here with my in-laws, one of Katy’s sisters - and her family, and our nephew Liam. That’s 10 of us in one 4-bedroom place over the hill from Wellington. Three nights here. We’ll head back to the capital tomorrow.
It’s been lovely.
Lots of relaxing, reading, a bit of gym and some country walks - board games and puzzles, and lots of laughs. Quality family time. For which we are blessed.
Oscar wanted me to read the same Stephen King book as him, so we brought two copies of Christine - and he absolutely blitzed me, reading all 750 pages in two days. I’m slowly cruising through it, and really enjoying it - having never read it previously.
